As I sit here writing, I’m drinking my new favorite smoothie. It could be called pink- purple creamy bliss in a glass. It’s absolutely delicious (as you would imagine). Not only that, it’s ridiculously good for you.

You’ve heard about antioxidants– the anti-aging, anti-disease chemicals found in whole foods that prevent free radical damage to cells. If that sounded like a mouthful, let me make it simple. Antioxidants help prevent chronic disease. And this smoothie is super high in them. Blueberries and cranberries happen to rank in the top 6 of antioxidant rich foods- score!

When I drink a smoothie I want it to work for me in the long run. Just because it’s a drink doesn’t mean I should be hungry 1 hour later or craving something to eat with it. This smoothie definitely fulfills its purpose. Thanks to its high protein and omega 3 healthy fats content, it will keep you feeling full for hours. It’s also blood sugar regulating and super satiating, meaning you won’t be left fantasizing about your favorite cookie or other go-to carb/sugar treat.
