Deep Tissue

Deep tissue uses slow, firm pressure directed at deep layers of muscle and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, joints and bones). It is often favored by athletes, those with postural, structural issues or long term injuries. Deep tissue is recommended for relieving chronic pain and helping to restore normal function.

Shiatsu

Using acupuncture points and energy channels, shiatsu is a traditional hands-on Japaneese art that uses gentle pressure to relieve pain and blocked energy flow. This whole-body massage incorporates gentle stretching, therapeutic movement and is extremely relaxing.

Sports Massage

Sports massage helps prevent injury, and keeps muscles mobile and elastic. An essential part of training for any athlete, sports massage helps reduce recover time, improves blood flow and nutrients to muscles, supports clearance of harmful metabolic byproducts, reduces scar tissue and improves tissue ability to absorb nutrients. Typically this massage is more vigorous to facilitate muscle healing.

Swedish Massage

Probably the most well known style of massage, the goal of Swedish massage is to relax the entire body. is excellent at inducing deep relaxation. This is accomplished by rubbing muscles with a long gliding stroke in the direction of the heart. Gentle or moderate pressure may be used depending on your preferences and goals.
